Fun Day Trips from Los Angeles

Just because you are visiting Los Angeles doesn’t mean that you have to stay in Los Angeles. Here are a couple of great day trips that you are sure to love.
Catalina Island
A one hour boat trip takes you to the magical city of Avalon where you can eat, drink and play to your hearts desire. Take one of the many tours offered in the city, and snorkel with a wide variety of fish at Lovers Cove. Don’t forget to get some seafood at the end of the Green Pleasure Pier
Palm Springs
A two hour drive southeast will get you to Palm Springs, a playground for the rich and famous. While it may be hot, you’ll also find luxury spas and hotels, a great local art scene, and some of the best shops you’ll find anywhere.
Big Bear
A two hour drive from downtown will get you to a winter and summer paradise. In the winter play on the slopes with some of the best skiing you’ll find in the area. During the summer, enjoy yourself on the crystal blue waters of Big Bear Lake.
Santa Barbara
One hour south and you’ll find yourself in Santa Barbara, a great place to hit the beach, or one of the great shops and galleries that encompass the area.
