The Place Where Dreams Come True

If you’re traveling to Los Angeles with the family or just want to relive old childhood memories, the original Disneyland Park, located in Anaheim, is a must-do of your vacation. Since its opening in 1955, it has seen more visitors than any other theme park in the world. In addition to the famous Main Street, U.S.A., a Midwest style town designed to resemble the childhood of Walt Disney, there are four main sections of the park. The four original park areas include Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, and Tomorrowland each house an array of rides and exhibits. You can take pictures and hangout with characters that roam throughout the park and watch daily parades and ceremonies, which usually occur on Main Street.Adjacent to the Disneyland Park is Disney’s California Adventure, which has been open since 2001. The park consists of five sections that are meant to resemble famous areas of California. This park features many aspects that are geared to a more adult crowd. The California Screamin’ roller coaster, the Tower of Terror and the Golden Vine Winery give parents and teenagers plenty to enjoy. A new water and light show is currently attracting large crowds at California Adventure. World of Color utilizes over 1200 fountains, lasers and lights each night at 9:00 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. in Paradise Bay.Children from ages 3-9 can visit one of these two parks for 62.00 and tickets for ages 10 are 72.00. However, there are a number of special packages that can be found on the parks’ websites for multi-day, multi-park admission. If you’re planning to spend more than one day here and want to visit both parks, you should definitely consider one of these passes. There is certainly more to do than anyone could fit into one day.
